It's written that containers were made for TR. Do they still use them? They look good.
The carriage looks a little too like out of a western movie for me. And it will be hard to use it in jungle or desert.

I've got an idea. What about a container where you can find thief stuff like lockpicks, probes, throwing knifes, etc...? It could look like something like this:

I like that one. Kinda like the roll of torture tools in skyrim. And you are right about the carriage. Got a couple of momo's wagons converted from oblivion that are resource. that look right and will turn the trick. Just need a horse or some critter to put in front of it. and voila, fast travel inland.

I don't think carriages will be common in Elsweyr. It's a harsh environment and carriages could be an easy prey for any beast or bandit. But they could be used to transport some rare or heavy merchandises... but heavily guarded.
In Pellitine, jungle could be so thick that you couldn't found any road. Or road couldn't stay usable because trees can block it or rain could have washed away the ground. And there is a lot of dangerous beast too. The safest way to travel could be to use big mount like the elephant where you are out of range of most dangers or (my favorite option) an aerial ropeway like the sugar-fibril described in return false. In term of background it's the most fun but the hardier to use in-game.

You'll have to put towers all the way and make long meshes of ropes to link them. At some tower, you could find a khajiit that could make you fast-travel to the nearest cities.

gondola lift's huh. Yeah, would need major meshes for that.

I think there would be some wagons and such around. The Imperials would use them at least, And there will be some roads around.

And if we use lift's, you think they would be powered by magic?

Mostly i was thinking wagon and boat between major cities, unless you join a caravan. dunno how that'd work out ingame.

A lift system would be absolutely awesome but like Rattfink said, major meshes. It could be done, and it would be a hell of a thing to see lines webbing through major hubs. Even if you don't see them in action in-game, it'd be a thought to behold.

But, is it a viable option?

I think it would be worth the effort. It would be a fantastic sight, and would be an evermore immersion increaser.

I think gondola will be khajiit-powered like in the pic above. It won't be animated (at least not in the "vanilla" version of the mod) so you could just make the basic mechanism and put the "driver" at the start like for the siltstrider.
And it fits the background with khajiit forms adapted to specific tasks.

Oh, I get it. Makes sense, I wasn't thinking of it like normal Morrowind travel. (Should have a quest involving fixing one of these. Just saying.)
