Misc Textures and Models

I have found a good map that would be interesting to have in Outreach. I have permissions, and is ready to be transferred into a model.

The only problem is the Elsweyr border. Thia could just be a old random old map..

The problem it's a map from the 4th Era. You can see where the Ministry of Truth crashed and there isn't Solstheim. And Elsweyr is included in the Aldmeri Dominion.

Yep, as Le Grimacier said, wouldn't really make sense to use it. Also its not very fitting shape wise either.

I actually started making maps for all the provinces as a bit of a laugh to begin with but they started lookin sorta ok

I was thinking about having a model like this, not specificly this one. I am just experimenting with models and I want to make a map. And SGM, that would be good if we could use your stuff, and not my noob experiments. Smile

I think a good map would be based off of a picture of SGMonkey's lands. Or based off of the map he used. That way it would be accurate and viable. An ingame map would be useful at least until someone makes the map able to move across tamriel. I personally can't stand trying to traverse tamriel rebuilt without the code patch.

I didn't mean a map that is used for navigating, I meant just as a model, a decoration.

Yeah, well as they said, it's from the 4th era. You had a good idea, you just rushed with it instead of making sure the map was correct. It would have happened to me too...don't worry.

What would be a resort city without a fountain? Very Happy
But you'll probably need to smooth a little the edges to fit our standard, especially at the base. The color scheme seems good but the texture need to be more detailled. It looks a little too plain for me, as if made from a single block.

Hmm. I have a fountain from the DAR but It doesn't seem as detailed. I thought the texture was a bit bland as well but we could do that in spare time, yes?

Is there any way we can get a moonsugar plant model. I'd figure it would look like sugar cane. But with a different look to the leaf. Probably need this made from scratch. 3 versions at least.

i was also thinking our jungle should be triple canopy. And we will need some large underbrush meshes. to break up LOS(length of sight). Also lots of vine meshes that can be put around trees. and worked from the branches into the ground. I really think it should be hard to see far in the jungle. We might have to give the jungles their own regional weather to keep it foggier/more humid in them.

birds. I think we need more bird meshes. And to get them to fly in flocks would be difficult, but amazing.

The base terrain could be made like the Grazeland. With just some heights to break the LOS.
We could probably make two types of jungle. The Tenmar Forest near the south coast and another one along the Topal Bay where sugar canes grow.
The Tenmar forest could be wild with thick and tall trees, wines and lianas and the other will be more "civilized" with clean paths, roads and farms.

I don't know if it's possible but maybe we can do birds in flocks who flee when the player is near or fly randomly (when the player is able to see them) as if they have been disturbed by a predator. Made them with no collision and the player won't be able to shoot them. He'll think that he missed them.
Or snakes who disappear swiftly in the vegetation!
