Re: Cities: Corinth
This city seems to strike me as an old, rich city, different from most of the more poor cities.
Re: Cities: Corinth
From UESP:
Corinthe is a major city in the central region of Elsweyr. It as a notable center of the Skooma trade. It was once home to a gladiatorial team known as the Brood. It was home to a sanctuary for the Dark Brotherhood, which was closed in 4E 188.
In Arena, it is said there is a guild of Mages too.

Re: Cities: Corinth
Some in game books spelled it Corinth which is why I went with that. I went by the Imperial library. We will debate the actual spelling soon enough...
Re: Cities: Corinth
We should take a look at the real Corinth, at around 50 C.E.
I havent quite looked at it yet, but I have been told it looks like something from Elsweyr.

I'm pretty sure there are other era other than B.C. It goes much further than that. Hey, we learn something new every day.
Re: Cities: Corinth
HEY! Study up boys, C.E. means "common Era" in the real world. Corinth was prospering in around 50-60 C.E.
Re: Cities: Corinth
I am joining Hayabusa in his rebellion! Fuck the world! Make the Elsweyr! Do the stuff! Finish the Mod!
Re: Cities: Corinth
In due time! It'll probably take like ten years to get a lot of progress. Anyway, what kind of architecture do we want?
Re: Cities: Corinth
Aside from the architecture, it appears that Elsweyr has a Mages Guild, and one that is definitely located in Corinth.
Does that give a hint to the economic status of the city?

Re: Cities: Corinth
Yes, it does. For a city to have an active guild, it must have good money to support it. The fighters' guild is a prime suspect of a prosperous town. The citizens have to pay for services. Mages' guild, I imagine, just accepts donations and takes certain high level IMPORTANT jobs rarely. I might be wrong. MHO.
Re: Cities: Corinth
Ah, this will be intense, designing Mages Guilds, Theives Guilds, Dark Brotherhood, it will be most enjoyable.
