Showcase Questions? Ask here!

I made this so people like me could ask for advise/ask about the rules etc.

I'll go first. The rules here are far more easier than TR's rules. It says that it has to be a two story building for interiors. Is that the same here or can I just do a small shack?

Same as above but with Exteriors. I'm just making sure if I'm allowed to make an island.

Yeah, were a little more lenient around here. Your interiors cannot be a shack though, as they must be piece placed, but they can still be pretty small. Your exteriors must be 3 or 4 cells, and yes, they may be islands.( If you do a good enough job with a shack, we'll let you in, you just won't be able to do ANY claim.)

Yeah, 3 cells of land at the least for exteriors. At least a 3x2 interior. We don't require you to be excellent at the start because we believe that some people come here to hone their skills so why kill them just to get in?

I never did end up getting into TR...but then again my showcase sucked.

Hey, your literature is good, and we both started this project. If you weren't here, we'd be little more than a disorganized mob. Look at it that way.
Anyways, more questions on how we're different from TR anyone?

Another question, Does it have to be de_p furniture for Interiors?

No, it doesn't have to be. We do recommend it since the surfaces are uneven but you can use any style you want. As long as you don't stylemix, it doesn't matter.

I'll do an Interior Showcase soon. Starting it now.

Is there an min refs for Interiors? On TR it's 100 I think. I think it should stay that. I've seen an Interior with 100 refs and it still looked almost completely empty.

Actually, we cannot stylemix. Bottles and wooden forks have no alternatives so they are okay. we'll help you as you go.

pROvAK's post is gone...but the minimum refs for interiors is generally 100.

I can see no one's posted on this thread in particular in a while, but I do have questions about what is wanted for Questing and NPCs. So this seemed like the place to go.

I understand mostly everything in terms of what you wanted in the guideline thread, but wanted to know how many quests you all wanted for a showcase? Sorry if this question has already been answered elsewhere on here. Found out about this project not too long ago and tried looking around for an answer, but couldn't seem to find it.

Anyway, would just be very interested in trying to help out if I can, so would want to start out a showcase soon if anyone can get back to this.

I'd say around 2-3 quests would be adequate. More would be great, but there's a lot of freedom here. As the head of Questing is open, no one has set a certain standard. Look forward to see what you have in store though!

Okay, thanks! I'll shoot for 3 then, since I'm trying to utilize a good bit of scripting in what I'm working on. Quality over quantity and all. Will hopefully have it all ready sometime soon.

That's 'cause you never asked me to submit a showcase, you just promoted me. If you want style as well as a "standard" you should see my work. I didn't make Head of NPCs of Tamriel Rebuilt for nothing.

Hey, we know your work is great, we've all seen it. You've never brought up your status around here, or said anything about being promoted.

Yeah, I just made the Head of NPC's (Characters) they're calling it, last month. I can submit my actual quest showcase if you'd like. It should still be up and running. Then you can see my work for yourself

Alright, I will make sure to fix up our standards in the showcase guide. Each question that is asked here should always be answered in that guide. If it is not, we update it.

I tell you, before, TR was all about being on par with Morrowind's Graphics and Gameplay. Now, all provincial mods have aspired to make Vvardenfell look like a last minute addition to the game-world.
