Other beings

This is a little different from anything previously done in any elder scrolls, game or mod, but I thought I'd pitch it. During the course of all elder scrolls games, you never hear a word of any other planets, or anything of the stars. Does Nirn inhabit a galaxy that supports life on a wide range of planets? What about Masser? I think, we should incorporate a quest in which a Dunmer astronomer in a Dwemer facility finds clues pointing to other worldly beings, leading to a quest in which these beings are seen. I know this is really off lore, but I think it would be cool to try something really different. Just a thought.

Oblivion planes are other planets (in fact, it's infinite planes in a bigger infinite plane. But our limited mind see them as planets). So you could say it has already done and that Daedras are aliens. The Eight Divines are also "planets" but orbiting around Nirn so they influence it (see the dwemer orrery). Stars are holes in the structure of Oblivion where the magic come from. On the "other side" of stars there is Aetherius where are the others gods who flew the creation of the Mundus. Magnus was the last to go so his hole is bigger: the Sun. You have also asteroids and other flying corpse who are minor gods trapped in Oblivion. The Ministry of Truth is a minor god (Baar Dau?) that Sheogorath threw against Vivec. And you have Mannimarco who is said to became an "anti-star". Nobody knows what is it really.

The idea could be a crazy khajiit scholar who want to built a rocket chair to travel in Oblivion (Khajiit can climb the sky but can't go nowhere except the moons). If the quest is successful, you launch him in the stars. Later you find a daedra who speak about him.

I was not aware of most of this.
It's actually really cool to know that, that could open up some wicked quests.
