Re: architecture
Maybe some of those, but definitely not all of them. After all, they are cats, not humans, so some of that stuff is a bit too fancy.
Re: architecture
Actually, they are probably style sensitive as well. C'mon, givem a bit of style! Not too much though, son.
Re: architecture
Khajiit civilisation is very ancient. It's even older than the dwemer! They have built buildings when men weren't yet in Tamriel. In Morrowind, Khajiiti seem to be a little dumb because they are slaves or considered as animals and segregated, but there is nothing to say they can't have fancy architecture. Old khajiit architecture could be simple but to be fancy could be a modern khajiiti style. Players will be surprised if they found khajiiti have a rich culture. Don't make blocky buildings because they are just cats. It's racism!
The second pic looks like a palace build upon a palace built upon a palace as if each generation had added its room. I think about lost rooms and secret halls...

Re: architecture
yes, looking at the second pic. at the right, you see the walkway with the cross pieces on the top. we could do those and put cloth shades hanging from one beam to another. kinda sideways banner pieces. mge xe shading would make those awesome.

Fuck...My PC does'nt support pixelshading..
If the lore says the khajiit can build crazy structures, then, yeah! Big structures it is. I can totally see Elsweyr in Distant LOD...Amazing.

Re: architecture
With architects addicted with skooma, khajiits can only build crazy structures!
More seriously, I think khajiits have made cities as havens from the lush and poisonous forest in Pellitine and from the scorching and hostile desert in Anequina. They love their cities and protect them, and it's reciprocal. Having an artistic architecture could be a mean to honor their cities, their builders and their histories. And because cities are very old, decorations have been added generation after generation, and make them very detailled.
That's how they are different from the pragmatic imperial structures and the conservative dunmer style.

dock look, just the look of the stone and the piers shoring it up. not the barn.

Re: architecture
Any model work been done on the architecture? Some new models would give us something more to work with. Things around here are getting slow, and it's hard to keep track of who-has-what.
Re: architecture
It could be better if I could work from concept art but I'm working on a few things. Nothing yet finished.
Because there was Tsaescis in Senchal during a long time I thought about a little asian inspiration in the style of the items. Texturing is my weakness so actual textures are just placeholders.

I've tried to make docks but it seems to me a little too "primitive" for the highly-civilized khajiits of Pellitine. But I think it could be used in other poor areas.

I'm also trying to make a ship. I'm using vanilla texture ATM but it'll use its own textures. I've been inspired by pics of galeon from Oblivion but I have still a lot to do.

Doors will have the same center as the ship so you could move all easily by scripts (if you want). The size is approximately the same as a dunmer ship.

Re: architecture
Nice job Grim. Even though you said above that those textures were placeholders, they look especially good to me. The orange-ish colour of the dock looks very Elsweyr like. Are you using Blender to model?
Re: architecture
Yes, I'm using Blender.
I don't know if orange-ish colour could fit the tropical environment of Pellitine.
And the texture looks too much handpainted in game. I have to find something more photorealistic.

Re: architecture
While I do agree that the dock textures seem a bit off, the rest of the items look absolutely great! These models really are up to standards without being chock full of faces. I love your work, Grim.

I love it! It's as if the statue is maintaining life in the desert. Even the rocks under its influence aren't eroded by the wind!
I think it could be the place where Azura made the first Khajiits. Something with a name like "The Cradle". It could be the oldest place in all Elsweyr. And there will be ruins too.
Statue of Azura should have an "Elsweyr style" like the ones in Skyrim and Oblivion have their. Any idea?
