We need to get more active here people. A province mod just starting out can't slow down. We're slowly dying if you haven't noticed. I didn't compile all those damn resources for nothing. Although I can put them to a different use. Now, here's the low down, we have to get more active here. Now. If we can get some work done, we can earn a height-map and get into the real nitty gritty work. SO LETS GO!!! Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Mad Mad Mad Mad

Well, other than collecting Meshes, righting books, and waiting for the claims to be claimed, there isn't a lot to be done around here until the first claims are done.

I gave you the height map for the area surrounding Senchal so you could work on that.

Not having the entire height map isn't holding you back now is it?

I don't mean to be a dick but I haven't seen anything, and I'm not trying to act all high and mighty by saying I will give you the height map if you can prove you can do something good. I just don't see the point.

By all means, make your own height map. I'm sure it will end up looking as shit as this

The best thing to do is have a look at some grey scale height maps on google or something. Tesannwyn is what you need to get it in game, and its really easy. You just open up the console and type something like

tesannwyn -i 3 -x 0 -y 0 -s 1 -h -2048 FILENAME.bmp

That will get you your image in-game. The -i 3 tells it that its for Morrowind, -x 0 and -y 0 are the coordinates of the bottom left corner, -s is the vertical scale, -h -2048 is the starting height (where the black in your image will be or the lowest part of the map) One thing i found that helps is to keep the image size a multiple of 64, each cell is 64 pixels wide.

I personally work with grey scale height maps for Morrowind because they're just easier to work with, quick and easy. If i was making something for UDK I'd use terresculptor or something similar cos it generally only likes square height maps. At least that was the case the last time I checked.

I have no interest in making a heightmap. SGmonkey's are perfect. I was just answering someones question. And the reason I ain't put anything out yet is that I've been busy at P.C. Trying to help make the alpha release date by making interiors. (I am on my fourth) I Will get on this shortly. But one thing i did do is edited the wall mesh tower to remove the onion dome. Will get a pic up asap.
