Quests as a whole Empty Quests as a whole

Hey, I'm new here to the forums and I wasn't sure where to put this. Basically I was wondering how I'm supposed to implement quests without a landmass. Quests in general naturally are one of the very last things you do. First the general landmass needs to be made, then the town/city, then the interiors, then the NPCs, the generic dialogue for said NPCs, and finally, quests.

As far as any faction or Main Quest goes, I would need to have the entire landmass done and towns/cities done before I could implement anything. I can however map out generic dialogue for NPCs and whatnot, but again, they'd have be around, as well as cities and whatnot.

We aren't really far in development yet, being only a few months old. We recently got a section of our heightmap up. Senchal. We are working on the architecture we want for such a place. Until then, you could help speculate on these things. When we have Senchal's exterior and interior work done, your skill-set will then be needed.

See, the plan to give an initial taste to the community isn't to give some screens here and there. We want to get Senchal ready, with a few Senchal-specific quests, and release it. That way, the community can judge our skill with actual play and see first-hand what we have made. Afterwards, it's regular release maps. Senchal is like our showcase, if you will.

TR, P:C, and SHotN may have more notable modders, but we have to work to get them to believe in us. Hence the unorthodox initial release plan. We only have, AFAIK, two modders who know anything about modelling or texturing right now. Senchal isn't a city we can use vanilla tilesets on. We have to make them. Not to mention the Khajiit sub-races. We have a bit of work cut out for us until the NPC'ing stage.

So yeah, you may not have known it, but we are a young community and we "got some work to do!"

Yes I'm aware that this community is fairly new. I just wanted you to know that I won't be of any use to you guys until the quests are ready to be implemented. Also know that I can do generic NPC dialogue, as well as interior design as well. I'll be learning how to do 3D modeling as well.

Aight. I realize that, but you can, as I said, offer opinions and, if you ever get curious, take a quick check through the data files and help find bad meshes.

Haha, I'm just a lowly Admin-Interior Modder Smile
Been getting back into my Morrowind recently after a bit of a "withdrawal" I'm ashamed to say up until last week I hadn't played Morrowind for over 3 weeks :O But not to worry, I've got my head on straight and seriously want to boost this project. It's a real confidence boost when we are starting to see more modders appearing.
